Hello Orangescrummers! One after another, we are releasing back-to-back releases within Orangescrum.

We always want to make Orangescrum more convenient for you. After all, that’s the only way we can help you get your projects done without any added stress.
We are always looking for ways to improve the user experience, and this latest update is no exception.
Orangescrum’s latest update will make managing your project even easier!
Single sign-on offers a convenient way to authenticate with multiple applications and websites, all with one set of credentials. It saves you time and prevents you from having to remember different passwords.
Say goodbye to memorizing passwords and hello to SSO, a login method that allows you to access multiple websites and apps with just one credential.
Single sign-on (SSO) is a system that enables us to use one login for many different services. SSO is not only convenient, but it also promotes safer security by giving you one less password to remember!
The SSO method builds a trust relationship set up between the service provider (Orangescrum) and an identity provider like; Okta, OneLogin, Azure Active Directory or Google, MiniOrange.
And this trust relationship is usually based upon a certificate that is reciprocated between the service provider and the identity provider.
This reciprocated certificate can be used to sign any identifiable information that is being sent from the identity provider to the service provider.
And this will make sure your service provider knows it’s coming from a trusted source.
With Single Sign-On, your identity data is encrypted in the form of tokens. These tokens contain bits of information about you, like your email address or username, so that you can sign in without having to enter them every time.
Now, more than ever, security is a top priority.
Here at Orangescrum, we’re ensuring that SSO is more seamless and easy for you with a trust relationship between an application and an identity provider.
Some Single Sign-On services use protocols, such as Kerberos and SAML, to provide secure login access.
SAML is an XML standard that facilitates the exchange of authentication and authorization data across secure domains. It’s extensible, so it can be used to solve a number of your company’s security challenges.
SAML-based SSO services are the best way to ensure that your data is secure. They ensure that your data is encrypted and that only approved people are accessing it.
SAML is a protocol that enables secure Single Sign-On through tokens. It’s a standard web browser technology that can be used for SSO to different systems.
SAML is a secure authentication protocol that completely eliminates the need for passwords.
It’s easy to create a secure sign-in token with SAML. Your identity provider will guide you through the process and you’ll be up and running in no time.
This is not a tricky process. The account owner or administrator needs to configure the identity provider’s information first before using it in Orangescrum.
To enable SSO inside Orangescrum, please follow these steps:
Once the verification is successful, you can come back to the SSO screen and see your SSO setting will be enabled for your account.
Click on the “Configure SSO” button to configure the Single sign-on settings in Orangescrum. This is only available for the owner and administrators of Orangescrum.
Find configurations for your Identity Provider in the SAML Configurations For Your Identity Providers section. You can directly click on the “Copy” button to copy the credentials.
Enter the required information like SAML Entity ID, SAML login URL, Logout URL, and the security certificate of the identity providers (Okta, OneLogin, Azure AD etc) for Orangescrum.
Step 1: Fill up the SAML configuration values and test the connection
Step 2: Enable or disable the SSO
Step 3: Log in using SSO?
Go to the Home page or Login page, click on the SSO login method.
