This update is the first in a series of thoughtful steps toward a more user-centric product, and your feedback has been at the heart of it all.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed managing all your settings, permissions, integrations, and workflows across multiple teams and projects, you’re not alone.

One of the most common pieces of feedback we received was this:

So we rolled up our sleeves and rebuilt the entire Settings & Configuration Panel from the ground up.

A Modern, Modular Approach

Our new design is modular and organized, offering a user-friendly experience whether you’re a new manager or a seasoned admin:

•  Project Settings: Customize task types, workflows, daily updates, and manage billing—all in one place.
• Company Settings: Define company-level project statuses, sprint settings, templates, and role-based access.
• Bug Settings: Easily configure severity levels, categories, root causes, and resolution types.
• Profile Settings: Manage your preferences, notifications, quick links, bookmarks, and more.
• Integrations: Connect with GitHub, Slack, OneDrive, Google Calendar, SSO, and Zapier—without hunting around.
• Subscription Management: Handle your billing, user count, and license plan directly from the new panel.

We didn’t just organize things—we made them faster and more discoverable:

• Search Bar: Type and go. No more manual digging.
• Tabbed Interface: Quick navigation through horizontal tabs.
• Breadcrumb Navigation: Always know where you are and how to jump back.
• Instant Updates: Real-time changes mean no lost work and no extra clicks.

6. Before vs. After Comparison

This section takes you on a visual walkthrough, where we first show you the existing (old) UI for each settings section—followed by a list of enhancements introduced in the new layout.

Top Navigation Drop-down – From Scattered to Centralized

Navigating settings shouldn’t feel like hunting for clues. In the older version of Orangescrum, the top navigation bar included a dropdown with separate links for:

• Personal Settings

• Project Settings

• Company Settings

• Bug Settings

While functional, this scattered layout often led to confusion—users had to guess where to go and click around to get things done.

What’s Changed in the New UI?

We’ve centralized everything under a unified “Settings” sub-menu that’s easier to find, scan, and use. Whether you’re managing bugs, company roles, or personal preferences, it all starts from one consistent location.

What’s better now:

• One-click access to all configuration panels

• Cleaner, decluttered dropdown

• Role-based access still intact (users see only what they’re permitted to)

• Icon and label enhancements for clarity

The Profile Dropdown also received a major design upgrade. Previously, it provided access to a few basic options, but its layout lacked visual balance and scalability.

• Quick links to profile settings, theme preferences, and notification controls

• Clean “Sign Out” CTA placed smartly

• Dropdown now matches the rest of the UI theme for visual consistency

These changes might seem subtle individually, but together, they significantly improve how you interact with Orangescrum.

7. When Will This Be Available?

We’re excited to share that the new UI is already live and being gradually rolled out to all Orangescrum Cloud users.

8. What’s Coming Next?

This release is just Phase 1.

We’re already working on the next wave of UI/UX improvements, including:

• Project View Redesign

• Task Management Interface

• Timelog View Enhancements

• Revamped Resource Management Panel
